Promises made, Promises kept!
In March of 2021, Tom and Linda Garber visited Hospital Mision Tarahumara in Mexico and stated that I-TEC would send a team to do electrical work and survey solar suitability. Thankfully a team of five I-TEC volunteers was able to do just that in May. Surveys such as this enable I-TEC to plan out courses of action for project needs as well as upgrade electrical systems where the needs for clean, dependable power are evident.

Matt Aungst and John Bennetch do a professional installation of mission supplied materials and generators including switching equipment from Samaritan’s Purse. This was part 1 of a 3 part mission for this project.

Gerard Rowe and Tom Garber complete the 2nd part of the project by installing overhead lines to allow the three phase wiring to be balanced, a necessary step for efficient use of the new generators.

The 3rd part of the project involves making a solar survey by Michael Fisher who will determine the type of system to be designed to help meet the electrical needs.
